it was either Gundam 0080(or 83?), or Char's Counterattack. that's all they've shown.

It could have been Big O. Season 2 had played on adult swim a while ago and it is a mech type show.

If the series was on Adult Swim, then most likely it was Big O. Although Blue Gender is listed as an Adult Swim program, it hasn't aired in a long time.

If the mech was supposed to be in some sort of tournament, the only Adult Swim series I can think of is Fullmetal Alchemist, and that series isn't a mecha series. However, the Adult Swim web site did have a game based on FMA, and one of the Elric Brothers is known for the suit of armor he wears.

If the series turns out to be a variation of Gundam, that would be the non-Adult Swim block on Cartoon Netowrk. I think that block on Cartoon Network is called Toonami.

I hope this helps.

G Gundam played on CN a while back. There was also tournament in this series. If you know anything else it would help.

Edit: Looks like someone already bet me to it.

G Gundam wasn't on adult swim though. It was on Toonami a couple of times and it aired on that wierd Saturday Night block that had .hack//Sign and Knights of the Zodiac.

Actually, the youngest brother is the one in the suit of armor and his older brother Al is the one with automail arm and leg. They tried to bring their mother back from the dead by using alchemy and it didn't work due to the laws of equivalent exchange. So, Al lost his arm and leg and to save his brother he fused his soul to a suit of armor to save him and that's why he has no body. It was totally obliterated. So, through the whole series they are on a quest to get their bodies back by using the Philosopher Stone. Al is the Full Metal Alchemist because he became a State Alchemist to further his quest for the stone. All of the State Alchemist get nicknames. It used to come on Adult Swim right before Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex, but now it plays Mon-Thurs. on Adult Swim.

I don't mean to quibble over a small detail, but Alphonse isn't wearing a suit of armor... He IS a suit of armor. That's the whole point of the story, that Edward is looking for a way to get Alphonse's human body back to him.

EDIT: I guess it would help if I read the whole thread before posting. Somehow, I missed the post just above mine! Very Happy

I did read the whole thread thank you very much and I did say that his soul, his very essence was fused to the armor. So, yes I do know that he technically doesn't have a physical body.

So, you can take back your sorry quibble. Rolling Eyes And be more polite to new members.

It's pretty obvious he wasn't talking to you, he quoted Tetsujin. On that last part he was talking about himself, not you, who should read the whole thread first, he said "I" three times.
