It looks.... interesting?
I sure as hell wasn't expecting this. I thought it'd be the third game to go along with Black and White.
I wonder what the gameplay is like. It doesn't seem like you'll be catching Pokemon like the Black and White and what have you, rather, it looks a little like, maybe PKMN Ranger? I dunno.... I really don't know what to say. 'Cause i've no idea what its about , theres only pictures...
But, uh...
What the hell is up with that guy and Mewtwo? Is this set in some sort of other era? 'Cause i'm pretty sure Mewtwo was created by scientist, right?

Not sure if want.
Though if it means using Pokemon to do serious damage in war, that might be awesome.

Sounds kind of neat, Pokemon needs something to spice it up a bit.

Do any of the Nobunaga no Yabou games even come out in the US? Seems like it never caught on here. Who knows if this will even be released here. Doesn't seem very American-friendly.. unless NoA is going to try to whitewash these things like something fierce and instead of Nobunaga it's... Tom Cruise's Last Samurai.

I played the NES game, and I think the boardgame too. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms series (and Bandit Kings of Ancient China) were released in America as well. Those games are essentially the same.

This is the first pokemon game to catch my interest since Crystal. Maybe their trying to recapture the crowd that outgrew pokemon.

whether or not Nobunaga no Yabou does have a following in the US, that doesn't mean much when it comes to the Pokemon franchise. If you'll recall, Fushigi no Dungeon wasn't all that big stateside either, but they localized the Pokemon spin-offs here anyway most likely on the grounds that "it's Pokemon, it'll sell" (on another note, ever since Mystery Dungeon, I've been wanting to see Pokemon break out into other genres, especially SRPGs, so this has me pretty excited ^^).
Anyway, this sure took me by surprise. Honestly, I thought GameFreak was making the Pokemon franchise seem more culturally-generic (though an argument could be made on Johto) ever since it reached out to a global audience, but here... well, it seems hard to get any more blatantly Japanese than this. Considering the setting is really friggin' obvious, and actual historical figures are being referenced, I really hope there isn't any white-washing involved. The only name changes I wanna see are the Pokemon (and attacks and whichever items get carried over from the main RPG series), whom have already had English names well-established by NoA anyway.

Well, I guess this is the closest to Pocket Monster Tactics I'll be seeing for a few years.
