It's not a catchphrase if the character only says it once in the show. That's a meme.

So... the empty spot. Is that the "other" option? 'Cause I'll take it, and add in "Love & Peace!", because... well, look at my internet name. If not, I'll make a decision on my second place spot.

So... Excel from "Excel Saga" wasn't on this list why?

"Baka bakka"
Nadesico's Ruri Hoshino (I suspect I don't even have to identify the character nor the show) |

Bah, Babbit, that thing wasn't in the manga, and since I really liked the manga, I can't imagine a 4th wall breaking Pokemon reject being a good addition. That's just me personally anyway.
Anyone else see Tezuka's short movie Broken Down Film? That broke the fourth wall by knowing it was an old film made on terrible quality film (it wasn't, it was made in the 80s, but it deliberately looked like it was). Tezuka also tends to not only put himself into works, but also Hyotunsugi (poison mushroom thingie), the "Nice ta metcha!" guy, and he sends any sick characters to Black Jack or brings Black Jack to them (happened in the Buddha manga for example, despite not taking place anywhere near contemporary times). Really, it's like every time he brings a superstar from one series to another where they don't belong, he's breaking the fourth wall. And it is awesome! And of course, yeah, inserting himself! Shingu breaks the fourth wall a couple of times. The main will talk to the audience, but someone will notice and call him out on it. Only happens a few times, but still, it happens! |

Next we could make survey of anime memes like for example "I'll take a potato chip... eat it!" I never get tired of that one

I can't believe FLCL didn't make the list. I mean they constantly make references to the fact that they are in a tv show. One of the best gags of the anime is when they joke about using "manga style" in one scene and they make a ton of jokes about the staff.
Also, "You are already dead" has to win! |

That's got my vote. And isn't "Yes, my Master," also a Kuroshitsuji quote as well as Hellsing? |

FLCL should have been mentioned for the 4th wall.
YES. My friends and I quote this so much. I also like "These muscles were MADE to [fill in activity here]," in Angel Beats!, but Armstrong still wins. |

I think Kuroshitsuji is technically more like "Yes, my Lord." Could be off, though, it's been a while since I've seen that... Either way, showing some love to Itoshiki-sensei. |

How am I the first to bring up Luffy's I'm gonna be King of the Pirates? I would have voted for that or Sebastian's I'm simply one hell of a butler from Kuroshitsuji.

I'm in despair! This survey has left me in despair!
Also, I always enjoy Enma Ai's 'Ippen shin de miru?' |
