Since each girl has wildly different hair colour, eye colour and body shape, you'd think it would be a cinch for the main character to figure out which one is his sister so as to avoid boning her. Or to target her for maximum incest potential. Hey, don't judge. Who knows, as the audience surrogate he might be interested in that sort of thing.
Of course, this obvious plan has one equally obvious flaw. It assumes that Anime siblings look similar to one another, which as we all know is usually not the case. Such a convenient excuse to negate the glaring plot hole that this lacklustre premise generates; so brilliant. 'Course, he could always ask for a darn photo of his sister from his family or the father's solicitor. Or heck, ask the girls he meets their name and single out the one who has the same name as his sister. Or, the same family name as he has, if by some plot contrivance he doesn't even know her maiden name. Sigh. Now now dtm42, it isn't fair to apply your superior logic to a crappy premise such as this. There's no honour in belittling the intellectually disabled; they have enough trouble just trying to figure which way to hold the pen. |

It sounds like the plot point in Onegai Twins, but with more girls. I suspect in this case, however, the girls themselves will not be aware of the possibility that one of them is his sister (at least not until near the end of the series).

Sir (or Ms): Your feelings on this have just made my day. I wanted to gag when I read the dead horse trope of a premise for this, and you captured my feelings on its inadequacies perfectly. |

I think you missed the part where they are separated at birth
Yeah it did remind me of Onegai Twins, but it's not clear from the description if it's related to the condition of finding a mate for his inheritance. If it is, I wonder if it'll end the same bittersweet way, or will he not let that little matter get in the way |

What? No I didn't. What I did miss was the part where the boy does not know that his sister attends the same school. I thought he did, which would have been a far stupider scenario However, to me it is still far-fetched that the person who told the boy about him having a sister - presumably the father's solicitor - doesn't even know the girl's name, or where she lives. Why would the father want to tell his son something important (like he has a twin sister) only to not tell his solicitor all the details so that the son can actually find his sister? That's just dumb. |

Is that really what happens? If so, thank you, now I don't have to bother watching this crap. |

A minor point to make is that she's actually his half-sister. (Via crunchyroll: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2011/12/10-1/kono-naka-ni-hitori-imouto-ga-iru-anime-announced) So there's an easy possibility that the father had an affair with someone and the woman ran away and had the child on her own, leaving the father devoid of details. Also from CR, apparently the girl knows this and is aiming to marry him anyway...go figure.
