My copy didn't have any printed material inside. Was this a mistake? I know I've been rather vocal about Bandai's technical problems lately but the lack of an insert and any DVD extras (besides a clean OP/ED) really is a conscious choice. It seemed like only a year or two ago they were including neat lamenated boards with Ryvius and WHR, as well as cool reversable covers for most of their titles. What happened?? Pioneer has made DTS a standard bonus on many of their titles and ADV has been remixing many of their stereo titles in 5.1. Even Mediaworks released Otogi Zoshi in a weak 5.1 mix and Funimation remixed the stereo FMA in a 5.1 mix. Yet Bandai didn't remix a 5.1 Scrapped Princess. What is happening to Bandai?

Hmm, I didn't get an insert either, even though the DVD information online says that there should be one. Hell, I think I deserve it, considering I bought the limited edition. Question, though; did you pre-order it online or buy it in a store? I pre-ordered it and received it the day before the official street date, so maybe that has something to do with it. I think I'll send those guys a message and see if I can pick up that insert for shipping costs or something.

Pioneer's DTS tracks aren't exactly great (half bitrate, and sound slightly not-as-good as their DD5.1 tracks), ADV and FUNimation's 5.1 mixes aren't "true" ones since they lack the materials to make a proper one, and Otogi Zoshi got one because Production I.G gave Media Blasters one. Most anime don't actually need a 5.1 track, so what's the point in giving them one, considering it'd cost more to produce in the long run?

I'm also missing an insert in volume 1 of Scrapped Princess. I was also wondering if it was a mistake. If I find out I really am missing the insert, I will also contact Bandai and ask about it. I purchased the "limited edition" with the Pacifica figure at Best Buy for $33.99.

I'm pretty sure it's not a mistake. My store-bought copy of the regular edition didn't have one, either, and it's not unknown for Bandai to put stuff out without inserts.

I, too, was disappointed with the extras - as my review will show.

No insert here either, I was rather disappointed with the lack of an artbox too which I thought I'd be getting with it. Crying or Very sad

I think I heard somewhere that the last volume might contain the artbox. I usually don't buy anime without the artbox, but I couldn't resist the "limited edition" Pacifica figure. I'm looking forward to the other "limited editions" also. I wouldn't have bought Scrapped Princess so soon if it didn't include either an artbox with the first volume or any extras or "limited edition" items.

I agree the figure was awsome. Does anyone know if they will release a Shannon figure?

The Shannon figure will be included with Vol. 2 of the series, which is schedule to street on June 28.

I noticed that after I posted, but I was too busy with work to change it. Sorry for misleading you, folks! Embarassed If Bandai continues to provide LE figures in their future releases of Scrapped Princess, I'll safely assume that the Shannon figure will be with Vol. 3 (which probably will come out in August).
