Yeah, probably only Sweden would consider a 13-yr-old boy for a Vocaloid.

Is it me, or does he seem to have some trouble enunciating consonants clearly?

Not too bad. He sounds quite a bit rougher than the Japanese Vocaloids I know, but I'm not sure if that's a result of the more complicated language or less experienced producers. Either way, I'm sure future English Vocaloids will sound even better.

Just pointing out that Anime Banzai was October 21-23 and not in September as the article says. =)

Wow my niche blog got linked to by ANN.
What an honor! Never dreamed this day would come. Really been quite suprised about Oliver's reception. Tis unprecedented for an Engloid. |

Those trifling post-Baroque imitators. I'd wager they didn't even perform the song to the accompaniment of sackbuts and crumhorns! |

Listening to this for the first time, (as I'm at work ) I now have trepidation for what the English Hatsune Miku could sound like as Crypton are running it on Vocaloid3 as well. That character design looks like an abused and beaten Kagamine Len. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Oooh, I really enjoyed that. I think they should do some more S&G covers, like Sound of Silence or Mrs. Robinson. That'd be fun

They could actually cover the Simon and Garfunkle one (with the anti war lyrics). I like the Vocaloid version more. Claes version (from Gunslinger Girl) was also pretty good.
