Looks like the links don't work in the forum search results.
For example, in the "Find all post by [user]" page: http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/search.php?search_author=Ryo The links have this form: http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=145582&highlight=#145582 but the page is unviewable. Firefox says that the document contains no data and IE gives me the same generic error page that gives me no info at all... It seems the problem is the "highlight" parameter, it works when I remove it: http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=145582#145582 It's the same thing when the results are shown as topics instead of posts. This doesn't work: http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13037&highlight=noir+link+admin+thing but this works: http://animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13037 And teh rules say we have to use the search engine... |

It's working fine for me, including using all of your links and running several searches myself. (in both IE and Firefox)

Odd, all that works for me, yet its not working for you with IE or Firefox?
I take it you're using a PC (not sure if Firefox is available for mac yet). Can you do something, try making a post in this thread that has more that 1024 characters. Just cut & paste a bunch of text from somewhere... -t |

Yeah I'm using a PC. I'll try it at home tonight, to see if it's the PC or if it's me...

What the hell?
I'm home now and it works just fine. The only difference is that, at work, I'm behind some crappy firewall, but I don't see why it would affect the page, just because of a GET parameter. I don't have problems with any other sites either... Ah well. At least I know how to avoid the problem... |
