This show was great. I hope they will add subtitles to this release although I doubt it. Maybe someday we'll see it over here.

The last TV episode or the OVA episode?
I assume the former since IIRC the OVA episode was set somewhere mid-series.

Interesting to hear that they aren't just upscaling from the existing masters but going back to the original files. I would love to double-dip on this, especially if it had subtitles which the DVDs lacked.

I would love for this show to be brought over here. If they put subtitles on the BDs, I'd consider importing them.

It's a superb show --- creative, beautifully drawn (though the character designs are a bit odd), with a great story and a fantastic soundtrack.

Even so, it's interesting that the Japanese company thinks there's still a sufficient market for it in Japan that they're willing to invest further in it.

I wish this level of work was done for all BD releases.

Interesting that they would put this much additional work into one of the last otaku-market 4:3 anime ever made. It certainly is a good show, as dm says. I just hope its Blu-Ray version won't be treated as passé by pillarboxing-haters.

If this gets English subs, then it'll be the first set I've ever imported from Japan. I'd love for it to get a release here in the US, but I'm not about to hold my breath waiting.

Yes, Yes, YES, YES!!!!! I can only imagine how amazing some of those scenes are gonna be in 1080p, like Manabi's brainstorm in Ep. 3 and Momo's broadcast in Ep. 9! X333333

Now for it to be licensed... and to all the licensing companies, I'll sign a contract in my blood to buy 100 copies of this show at whatever price you sell it for if you do license it :3

Well, maybe Ridley Scott really will do this movie. All it needs is good narration.
