If every anime character was real and age didn't matter, (every character's already over 21 for this topic), which boy/girl character would you marry and why would you choose that particular character?

I'm going to start off by stating that if Ahiru from Princess Tutu was 21 and before me in real life, she would be the girl for me because she has the exact same heart I have. I would give my life to help a stranger, just like she gave her human form up to save a town. Everytime I watch that clip, then see the Crows trying to rip her apart, I always cry and yell at the pc asking why she was being abused like that, why didn't the producers give her a better ending, why did the show end after the story ended? couldn't the producers have made more shows and brought her back?

Wow... you should really put some spoiler tags in that, didn't know any of that plot stuff from Tutu.

Marry? Donno. Already married, and we are talking animated characters. Rule out someone like Faye Valentine, who just isn't the marrying kind. Probably someone who is a bit like my own wife, like Ai Tanabe from Planetes. Optimistic, intelligent, and sweet. Really, Planetes is such a good show with characters that ring true, and sci fi fimly grounded in fact.

I'd never marry! But to not sound like a complete idiot who's too smug to play with the thought...

I'd guess, it would have to be a character that gets a lot of exposition in the series. Mentality, personality, aspirations etc. One of my favorite canditates would be Naegino Sora from Kaleido Star. Cheerful, optimistic, fun and passionate. The only problem is that she's the polar opposite of myself, but I could imagine being taken to her pace.

I'd marry any girl who can kick my ass but isn't a friggin' tsundere, or any girl who's cute or sexy but can genuinely take care of themselves. Plus either of those who also doesn't desperately need a man to complete their lives or have finding and keeping a man as their only goal in life--those girls are kinda pathetic, honestly, and a reflection of traditional-minded Japanese parents pressuring their daughters to focus on finding a man and marrying him before they hit 25.

What kind of no-brainer question is this?!

I'll choose Kinoshita of course!

Which Kinoshita, exactly? Smile I must say, Hideyoshi is one hell of a trap.

Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke from Strike Witches

The commander of the Strike Witches she has a very sisterly aura to her. She's sweet and helps the squad to feel like a family (which is one of the best things a story can accomplish). Her best moments come in episode eight, nine, and ten where her tragic back-story is explained and where she struggles to avoid a repetition of her past trauma. Her emotions in these episodes are genuine and her struggle eminently human. It’s impossible to not sympathize with her and feel her plight. She’s a fully developed and compelling character, definitely one of my favorite female characters in anime.

Hmm, if I met someone like Rin Tohsaka in real life, I'd probably be smitten. Don't know about marrying though.

Way too many good ones to choose from. Can I go with a harem instead? Laughing

If I did have to choose just one it would probably have to be Charlotte Hazelink from Princess Lover because I like her personality a lot and she's also good looking.

I've said this before on a similar thread, but apparently I would marry Alfin from Crusher Joe, because that's who my actual wife closely resembles.

Hideyoshi, of course.

Joking aside, Tina Foster from Ai Yori Aoshi. She's outgoing, playful, and adventurous, if perhaps a little to spontaneous at times. She's smart and observant enough to pick up on when her friends are feeling unusually down or if something good has happened to cheer them up, and she's devoted enough to take action to improve their mood in the former case and step back and let them enjoy themselves in the latter.
