I've hoped and hoped that this game would be better than Twilight Princess and it seems like all my hopes are paying off.

TP was such a poor Zelda game that I really do hope that Skyward Sword is the game the series needs to recover.

I just pre-ordered my copy recently and while I didn't go for deluxe edition (I've purchased every Legend Of Zelda that has been licensed in US, including the NES version as well.) But an addition $20 is bit more than I can really spend these days.

I've been excited for this game since last November, so I've been keeping tabs on this for quite some time. I am also really looking forward to RPG aspects of this game as well.

R315r4z0r: I've been playing Legend of Zelda games for the last seventeen years and let me tell you, I haven't been this excited for a Legend Of Zelda game Ocarina of Time. And while I did buy that game recently for Wii ware, I also bought it for the N64 back in the day as well.

Needless to say, Skyward Sword looks truly exceptional.

Made me want this game over Halo: CEA more and they're both released in the same month. Will have to buy the Wii-Motion before it comes out.

EDIT: Or rather...I could just get the bundle itself that includes Wii-Motion. Rolling Eyes

It is kinda frustrating to see these videos. On the one hand, the characters are more animated than they ever have been, and it all looks very polished and interesting. On the other hand, there is also a weirdly unnatural look to the character motions at times. A sort of uncanny valley where the movements are both good and bad at the same time.

By the by ... What is with the Twilight Princess hate? I didn't have the perception that it was such a terrible game, myself.

I've already played this game:
-Ocarina of Time
-Majora's Mask
-Wind Waker
-Twilight Princess

Yet, I want to play it again. Not caring about the game, it's a new Zelda title. I mean, Nintendo could put "Zelda" on a freakin' LCD two-button handheld game and I'd we'd buy it.

Okay, that's a bit far-fetched, but I will say this: I'm very disappointed Nintendo has not released Wind Waker for the Wii.

I freakin' loved that game.

Oh well. No pre-ordering for me. I'll wait until this puppy is $20 (in about 5 years). I've too many other games to play right now to throw this into the pile of games "to be played".

On one hand the game looks great, of course all Zelda games look great, Nintendo is good at marketing.

On the other hand, I just know I will be disappointed by the incredibly easy gameplay and the fact that I will never die once during my entire playthrough like in Twilight Princess....

I'm conflicted about buying this...I hope that by some Lovecraftian miracle, someone localize Xenoblade in time.

It would take some lovecraftian tentacle rape to get Xenoblade over here. The eponymous THEY have flat out stated that this game will never be released in America. Now, unless this is a brilliant reverse psychology ploy (which would be pretty cool), we are SOL.

I want to play this game SO bad. If the controls are full 100% based on your actions with the wii-mote and nunchuck with the plus add-on, then I'm sold.

Sure, in my eyes, the future of gaming will never be full motion controls, but if there's one game that can make us doubt that, even if it's just for for a little while till the next big thing comes along, then if it happens to be a Zelda game, I'm all for it.

I really don't get this complaint. At least the Zelda series always adds a new, major twist to gameplay with each game. That right there makes it less repetitive that pretty much every other sequel ever.
