Yeah, and actually some of them are quite good and can actually be a lot of fun to play, however I don't really see how you could make something like Case Closed into a TCG though, the idea of it seems almost wrong...

Clue is a CG....kinda.........okay, so it's more like D&D than Magic or whatnot, but it's close.
Hey, Conan Clue wouldn't be such a bad idea, would it?

It'll be more to the style of YGO, but obviously with CC stuff as well as a new set of rules, ways to play, ect.
Knowing Score, who have done DBZ in the past and are currently doing InuYasha, this is just an attempt to milk the fans, but I don't understand why they'd choose CC, I thought CN wasn't ordering new epis because of low ratings or something

Like i said in another thread, the Manga has a kiddie fanbase. So such a TCG might target them instead of your average Otaku.

I can't wait to get fifty copies of "Conan shoots Richard with Tranq Watch" Ultra-common card.

Boy, talk about a retarded idea. I happen to like Conan just about as much as anyone else, but in case Score hasn't noticed, Cartoon Network isn't going to show it anymore! Really people, don't expect this to be a very long-lived TCG. This is about as bad an idea as that Austin Powers TCG. -_-;

Well, at least you have to realize that, just by the nature of the show and the lack of emphasis on fighting, that this TCG will be unlike pretty much every other one, probably more like Clue in its execution, like I believe was already suggested.

Well, there was also a Scooby Doo TCG in the late 90's so it could some similar mechanics to that as well...

Yeah that Scooby Doo cardgame was pretty bad, it was a simplified version of the X-File's card game engine, which was good Clue like action if overly complicated. Case Closed could be an ok Clue-ish game although the shows seeming lack of success in the US so far makes it seem unlikely to succeed.

Am I the only one who found this to be another stupid CCG to draw in the fan base
Don't get me wrong some of these card games are good, Yugioh! is an excellent card game in its own right. Its easy to understand, and quick to learn. Anyone can play it, which is why i stopped playing, cause little 10 year old kids were trying to tell me the rules and thought that by me being 19 years old I didn't know what I was doing... but that's besides the point
I would love to see one of these companies pick up a CCG that would work, anyone remember SNK Vs Capcom Card Fighters Clash? The game was simple, it worked and it was fun unlike the last 30 CCG's i've seen released, honestly
