Oh, very nice. ^^

By the way (even though I should have commented earlier when the news first came out), does the artist him/herself gets some of the royalties or is it just only guild members themselves who gets it (as said in the news)?

They said the localizers (as they're called) will get a piece of the pie to split amongst themselves (the number is 12%). The rest gets split between the publisher Digital Manga, Inc. and the Japanese publisher. Assuming the artist gets a cut at all, it would most likely come from the Japanese publisher out of their share. I say that because it could have been a flat fee kind of thing. Either way, it's the Japanese that pays the artist, not Digital Manga.

I'm so curious about how well this title will do. How many downloads will this get? Will Kawaii Neko make any real money? Are they taking to the streets to promote their work? How will the translation quality be judged by the masses (and critics) now that they have a concrete example to look at?

I'm really curious how this will do as well. I hope this project is a success, I picked up this release and I was quite pleased with the quality. I thought it was worth the price and I'm looking forward to more releases if they are as good as this one.

While I'd love to read that Yugi Yamada title especially, I really dislike that they can only be accessed with an Internet connection. I'd seriously rather pay twice as much ($14) for a real book.

Me too. It's great that it's legitimately available, but I wish there would be an option to buy a 3D copy. Although I often read with an e-reader and find it convenient, it's preferable for me to have manga in physical 'book' form.
