Help me... [remember the name of a fighting series]

This has been driving me crazy for the last three hours or so. I am trying to remember the name of an anime I watched god knows how long ago. The main character was a guy who got beaten up by a girl and was in a hospital or somesuch. When he goes back to school he has to join a club or activity and he looks at the different fighting clubs to learn how to defend himself. Somehow he gets pressured into being the manager I think of a club populated by girls one of which is the girl who beat the crap out of him. Any ideas what it might be? I don’t even remember it being that good but its going to drive me nuts till I find out the name.

oh god well there are only two fighting themed animes i know of as of yet. Ikki Tousen, and air master Air master is mainly about a girl as well as Ikki however there are more male interactions in it. I'll ask around about more with fighting themed animes if I find some I'll be sure to let you know.

I don't think the focus was the fighting. The main plot was that the girl who beat him up confessed to him and when he said no she beat him up, at the time she was quite fat. The girl has since become the normal cute anime girl as a result of training in this club. Er I can't think of anything else.

Ikki Tousen focuses more on Hakufu Sonsaku (a FEMALE) more than the males. So scratch that idea.

I have seen that aswell. Very Happy The one I am trying to think of is not nearly so serious though.
