Hi there guys. I repost this topic here as Tony K. recommended. How can I submit a related anime to a given anime or a manga? What I mean is look at the following anime: anime#1100 there is what is called "related anime," and it lists all anime that are either sequels, prequels, spinoffs and so on. Where as if you look at this anime: anime#384 which is very famous and has a couple of ovas and movies and tv series, you find that it doesn't have the "related anime" thing. I hope this makes things clearer. One more thing. There is an omnibus section. You find for example Lupin with about 20+ titles. Can I submit an omnibus, or is it just for editors? Related anime and omnibus titles are both "special" data types that can only be entered by staff. Why? Because it's the kind of information that rarely needs to be added so it wasn't worth the time to make a public interface for it. So just submit your information here, in this thread, and we'll take a look at it and add it if it seems valid.
But here's one important detail about "related anime": - a sequel is a story that happens after the original - a prequel is a story that happens before the original So if a title B is a sequel of A, then A is not a prequel of B because A is the original title that led to the creation of B, not the inverse. |

Oh, Thank you. That clarifies things. Well Ok. The source of conflict here is City hunter. The following is a list of sequels in chronological order: City hunter 2. City hunter 3. City hunter 91. City Hunter: .357 Magnum. City Hunter: Bay City Wars. City Hunter: Million Dollar Conspiracy. City Hunter: The Secret Service. City Hunter: Goodbye my Sweetheart. City Hunter: Death of the Vicious Criminal Ryo Saeba. The following is an adaptation: City Hunter (live-action movie). This gives you 11 titles. I don't know if you consider it enough for an omnibus. Ok some more sequels
The city hunter manga has a spin off, namely, angel heart. _________________________________ Magic Kaito, is a related manga to the detective conan manga, and the detective conan anime. But I really never heared of it. It is a good idea to add to it, to really make it worthy of an omnibus. I added it in the appropriate place according to its first air day. Thank you again. |

Dan, do we post related manga and anime (e.g. adaptation) in this thread as well? I've added many anime / manga adapations in "Other Information" for quite some time. Is it better to resubmit them in this thread?
