Polar express animation incorporates Motion Capture technology. A person with a wet suit that has many little balls around vital areas of motion. My lab is working on this kind of technology.

I don't think Gally as a CG model will convey the same images that an Actress. Maybe have key scenes in CG. When Ido first discovers Gally in the Junk Yard and Key battle Scenes that would be humanly impossible.

Again I agree with some of the posters that the eyes are the most important think to an actor.
