Glad to finally see some sort of pv out.
Still upset over this being a double feature deal. I heard that both movies are only an hour each. (I really hope someone proves me wrong) because they're only covering the final battle of the MW arc for the movie. Which is a shame, we're not getting the Negi v Raken fight, the ball, the start of the fight, flashbacks and everything else animated.
I'm happy they're animating the final part of the fight and all but, what about the other half of the arc thats not getting animated?

Double billing can spell only one thing. A short ass movie
I would have thought they'd give the final arc a full showing... -sigh- guess we'll see next month.

I'm not sure how Negima has sold, but if it did sell well then I would have thought that the Negima Mou Hitotsu no Sekai OVA series and the Ala Alba OVAs would have been licensed by now.
Another thing that would make licensing such a movie here nearly impossible is that Hayate is Bandai's property whereas Negima is licensed by FUNimation. I suppose if either of the two wanted the movie enough then it could be possible for either of them to get it, but I doubt it will ever be licensed.

Funimation knows about the OVAs, someone at Anime Boston asked about them.
I've given up hope, I love the series to death, I've bought all the DVDs and even re-bought some stuff. But really, how much more do the fans need to buy in order for them to get the big idea of "we want the OVDs and the movie".

Well, I for one was gripped - GRIPPED - by those exciting static images. Isn't lack of motion what animation is all about, after all?

Man, what a disappointment, I thought it would be an epic 2 hour or 3 hour film, but even an OAD was only 30 minutes so that means that film is only gonna show 2 OADs worth of actions, WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH if you consider how many things has happened after the 5th OAD.

Hey now, they weren't TOTALLY static. I was moved by the subtlety of the images drifting slightly to the right and left.

The one sign we do have that shows it has done well is the Classic Line release, which is supposedly for shows that have done well.
I hope we get the Negima movie here too. What would really satisfy me though is seeing the whole MW arc and festival arc animated...
