WICKED!!!!

I have seen a lot of Newtype on Borders and my local Comic store. So I wasn't suprised that they bring back the DVD.

Now the question is this a one shot deal?

Crap, and I just started knocking down the number of issues I ordered for the store. Without the DVD, I was only selling about half as many. Sad

Now I have to up my orders again and it takes 2 months or so for that to kick in. Crying or Very sad

"Due to popular demand?"

Someone needs to reword that to "Due to Angry Protests."

Finally!

Maybe sales when down and had to decide to bring it back.

No matter what the case, Newtype now is the worth the price of $10.

As stated in the press release at animenewsnetwork.com/pressrelease.php?id=599, the subscription price is staying the same -- $89.95.

I have to agree. I Believe the actual phrase is, "Due to Lack of demand". I can't believe that NewType Couldn't see that this was going to bite them in the butt. But the real stupid this is that the increase in price might drive away some of the original buyers that would have started buying again.

*sigh* I would be more than happy to buy the magazine with DVD again at $10, but at $13 your looking at nearly $8 over the price of other magazines. That's just way to much to ask for a DVD with often only one episode and of a sketchy quality.

They took step forward by bringing the DVD back and another step back buy raising the price. I'm going to continue passing on the magazine. I'll be surprised if anything changes with their readership.

We are making a conscious effort to make sure that the DVD is worth it. This month, for instance, you've got episodes of both DNAngel and Petite Princess Yucie (subbed and dubbed for both).

Ok, unless they add some other stuff into that magazine, screw the price increasement. When I did buy it, it was the most expensive magazine I bought at 10 bucks, and 10 bucks was pushing it, and that was WITH the dvd. I see no reason to pay the extra 3 bucks, so screw em, I'm still not buying.

I said "forget it" when they took away the DVD, but now that it is back I think that it's all nice and dandy, but that priced is a little high for a magazine with the same exact content a few months ago. And there is still alot of biased bull shit in there.
