Okay, that meme pic is kinda awesome.
Nice to see Avatar further proving that it deserve honorary anime status. If only Nickelodeon would actually do some sort of official charity thing, that would just be cool. |

Considering the show bombed and had a poor reception in Japan, that's not really close to being true. The only reason Bobby Rubio is there is because he works at Pixarr, whom GAINAX are on good grounds with, not because he worked on Avatar in the past. ANN's article title is kinda misleading in that regard. You might as well say Family Guy is getting 'honorary anime status' because of this since they worked on that show as well

Well it seems a bit silly someone would claim something is 'honory anime' (whatever that means) when the country of anime wants nothing to do with it in the first place.  Like inviting yourself over to someone else's house and saying you live there.

Bryan Konietzko(co-creator), Seung-Hyun Oh, Joaquim Dos Santos and Kihyun Ryu worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender and are currently working on it's sequel series. Along with Bobby Rubio--Elsa Garagarza, Lauren Montgomery and Ian Graham have also worked on Avatar:TLA. Not misleading at all. |

Like I said, that doesn't matter. A lot of anime the Japanese market doesn't want nothing to do with, like Armitage. The "honorary anime" arguments don't factor how well something does in Japan. They argue about other things.

Is that official? They're working on a sequel?
