Bandai announced on their Facebook page with the following comment "DASHING ENTRANCE! We've acquired Star Driver!". Star Driver is now officially licensed! |

Well this was to be expected but I'm still happy I guess. I hope they;ll dub it but Bandai seems to be against doing that these days.

Can't see Bandai not dubbing this.
Too big of a show for them. Just hope they do BD version of the show. |

Was hoping FUNimation would get Star Driver because they're the only company who seems to still does English dubs faithfully. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and Bandai will decide to add a dub for us. Sigh oh well, least we can watch it legally now.

You and me both. I'd go so far as to say the series was an unfocused mess by the end that left me wondering why I'd just wasted 9 hours of my life on this show. It set itself up for disappointment too, with the dozens of parallels to Revolutionary Girl Utena, a vastly superior show. But I suppose it should be commended for really making me look forward to my box set of that when it arrives in June.

Bandai hinted about this on their FB a few weeks ago but I'm still pleased to see official confirmation on this. Hoping that they release it half season boxsets instead of those weird singles they're still doing for K-ON! might be nice if they did LE editions like they did for TTGL and Code Geass.

For those who saw the teaser pick this was pretty obvious. Still confirmation is nice and I'm overjoyed that this show is coming to the US!!

That's the last thing Bandai needs is glitter and more mechs!?!?!
Figured this would get picked up, but didn't think it would be Bandai. Probably won't get a dub, maybe, they did give K-ON! a dub, and it's great! Tried to watch the first episode upon premiering and was too blinded by glitter to continue. I may pick this up if it's dubbed and comes with glitter blockers!! |
