CrunchyRoll simulcast
ANN page Official website Episode 1: That was pleasantly amusing, even if it's far away from the best show of the season. I laughed out loud multiple times throughout the show, so I guess people's mileage may vary on the humor. Lotte is cute (and her character design is (*´Д`)ハァハァ), but whether her dynamic with Naoya works won't be seen until the 2nd episode. - The truly disturbing thing about this show is that the massive naked man in the sauna has the same VA as the principal in Hidamari Sketch. - I don't quite understand why Lotte has to personally extract the life-seed, but...I guess I shouldn't think too deeply about it. - I like how, even if such a thing won't occur in the show with Lotte, Judit mentions that her mother was "sucking men of their life-seed" at her age. - I think their idea of humans is tainted by something from the Netherlands. - The cosmology of this series is surprisingly well in line with actual Norse mythology, what with a Manheim, Helheimr, and...I guess Lotte's world would be like Álfheimr or something. - Naoya is awfully feminine, but I guess that's all for the better in winning over Lotte's heart. |

This was my most anticipated show of the spring season, and I wasn't completely disappointed.
The fanservice being brought up a notch wasn't bad, but it wasn't present in the manga so that caught me a bit off guard and I wasn't exact happy that spoiler[Nayoa wasn't given his name yet.] Well I am gong to follow this one through to the end. EDIT:
Maybe he needed to pay the bills, so I guess they have to take what they can get. I mean hell George Carlin used to be the train conductor in Thomas the Train KIDS show. Last edited by asimpson2006 on Tue Apr 12, 2011 10:58 am; edited 1 time in total |

I found the first eppie kinda slow, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I'm sure things will heat up once the butler truly arrives. The fact that he has a daughter Astarotte's age actually makes this set-up kind of unique. Normally, he's be a schoolboy between the ages of 13 to 17. Although I'm getting a little tired of Rie Kugimiya's tsundere brat thing, nobody does it better. Should be good for some laughs.

Everyone who watched this is a lolicon. There, I said what every troll could possibly say in this thread. Ouch, jxsilicon9 beat me to it.
Jokes aside. Generic to the last bit. The girl is sorta adorable, and there were funny gags. I did laugh, I admit. But I also laughed at Oniichan no crap and eventually dropped it. Either way, her mom must have been such a heavy drinker. 1000 males in her harem? That's enough sperm to get anyone drunk. |

Ok I will risk being called a pervert and will coment on this show.
I am kinda interested to see where this could possibly go, will this end up like some pervy example of sexualisation of young children, or will it end up like ..... I don't know. Anyway it did not feel to heavy with naughtyness, except for the repetition of "suck it". Oh and Rie Kugemiya again does her loli tsundere role, I wonder how many that makes now. Trying to think what I should think, I mean she is a Succubus right, so their culture is diffirent. But this looks like the guy is a love interest, and he has a daughter of the same age, maybe it will be like Campanella, except maybe edgier and less boreing. Yeah I had a little problem with his problem, knew it was a femal actor but was sure I had heard it as a male. Turned out it's Negi Springfeilds Seiyu, yeah he sounds a bit young, then scrolled down more and noticed she also did Misaka, yeah I wont be taking him serious now. So yeah I look forward to more, I kind of have an interest in Succubi at the moment, not neccesarily in a naughty way, I kind of like Kurumu (not exactly attracted like) and they are part of a book I am writing at the moment. Heres hoping it does not get too creepy. |

If it stays similar to the manga then spoiler[ it won't go pervy since the Naoya doesn't have any interest in Lotte as a love interest since he says that she is too young for him. There is a bit of fanservice in the manga, but none of it comes off as sexual and more for laughs.] Then again only time will tell on this one. |

I hope you are right asimpson2006, for some reason this show interests me. The last show that got me interested like this turned out to be massive troll of flash animation, that I still hope will be done properly eventually.

It occurred to me I'm not really sure why this show piqued my interest so much.
The ecchi aspect and innuendo? Nah, I've watched hentai and other fanservicey shows, even ones more explicit and with just as young looking characters. Plus being well aware the show lacks graphic scenes and is quite tame I am still interested in it. Character designs? They're not really specifically appealing, cute but did not grab my attention like Air TV and Zero no Tsukaima and Working!! did. Concept? Other than the fact that the show dares to be different by having an over-the-top suggestive plot premise, what I really just wanted to see was cute girl with tail dishing out the tsundere for hapless, unexpected guy and all their interactions. But that happens in a lot of shows (minus the tail part). I think it was mostly that this show seemed that ecchi and suggestive doesn't disappoint when attracting the hard-core crowd that likes to oogle cute girls. But additionally, because it actually comes off as being fairly tame, it's going to turn fewer fans away who are probably a bit sick of shows that depend too heavily on fanservice and innuendo-rich gags. So basically is more of the same but something fresh and different all in one. I'm just looking forward to this at least being considered a hit (Japan only, I don't really care whether it is or not here in the Americas or Europe). |

@Past, some of the things you mentioned goes for me, too. I don't know why but I thought I had to watch it.
I'm not watching it for fanservice, lolicon stuff, or even the premise. I think I might have watched it for opinions. This show was the center of controversy and probably still is. That could be my reasoning for watching it, anyways, I intend to drop the show after a few more episodes. Nothing in it entertains me. I did laugh at several things, still, this show is not that special. I agree with Blood- said about the VA for Astarotte, I'm getting quite tired of her voice for these kinds of characters. Sometimes it works but most of the time now, it annoys me. |

Anime as an art form is dead. And this is the kind of garbage that killed it. And I thought anime couldn't get any worse when Chu Bra was released, I couldn't have been more wrong.
