I was just wondering if there are any hentai's that don't have rape and/or monsters/aliens in it? All the hentai's i've heard of usually all contain these and I wanted to know if there are any that don't and actually have a good story?

I looked and I didn't see anywhere in the rules that talking about Hentai was forbidden.
Actually, in the General Anime Questions sticky up top, Cookie suggests some Hentai titles, so I'm assuming it's ok. But hey, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. |

I'm assuming that Hentai is O.K. to talk about. I assume by weirdness you mean S+M, Domination, etc.
I've only heard of one title that fits your criteria and that's Elven Bride. It's about a very loving, newly married mixed human-elven couple who find that, between species, size does matter. The plot involves not only the quest to overcome this difficulty but also the quest to ovecome the opposition to mixed marridges. All the Best, Nani? |

End of Summer is another good one. It actually reminded me more of Kimagure Orange Road than any other hentai I've seen.

Futari Ecchi may somewhat fit the bill. Well, it has it's weird moments, but it's generally straight foward.

I heard that Canvas is supposedly a softcore hentai. spoiler[In the end of the first episode, Amane starts to fondle with herself, but it only shows her breasts. And the end of the last episode shows Amane and Daisuke having sex, but it pans only to the chest area and it wasn't hardcore.] Of course that scene in the last episode was cut by the fansubbers since that distribution site doesn't allow it.
Now I have to find another way to get it.

Which fansubbers cut that last scene? Because [EDIT - No fansub group names. -C] left it alone. And no the last scene in ep4 wasn't hardcore, it just showed them naked.

I, too, have been diligently searching for hentai titles that don't have the "weird stuff." They are, unfortunately, few and far between. (Makes me wonder about some of the people who create this stuff. . .)
One title I can recommend that fits the bill is Virgin Touch. Although it's relatively light on sex scenes (only four total in 55 minutes plus some other milder fan service), it's the most tender and gentle hentai title you're ever likely to find. The English dub is lacking, but it has good graphics, appealing and reasonably-proportioned characters, and well-handled sex scenes. It even has a worthwhile story with some real drama. It's the only hentai title I've run across that a guy could actually watch with his girlfriend and get away with it.

Its fine to talk about Hentai on ANN (at least from what I understand). Although there are some younger uses on the forum a lot of the users are adults.
What’s more worrying is that there is obviously a large market for this stuff. I have no problem with bondage and other such sexual practices, that’s all relatively safe, everyone to their own. However I do find it rather disturbing that a lot of Hentai is centred around rape, torture and humiliation.
Your not going to find to many Hentai with a good story, the reason why is because a good story is really kind of besides the point. I have heard good things about Urotsukidoji but the story is centred around demons so while it may fulfil your desire for a good story you will still be stuck with demons and some rape. I have only watched the edited version myself which is split into two separate stories and was rubbish so I can't personally vouch for it myself but I have read positive reviews of the unedited version, including a review here on ANN. |

I'll bet alot of it is aimed at pastey, sexually insecure Japanese otaku. That explains why alot, if not most, of it involves dominating females. Personally I don't watch hentai. I don't want to watch a high school girl have god knows what done to her. And I don't buy into "it has a good story" argument. The anime market is not so devoid of substance that you have to watch hentai to find a good story. |

It doesn't really appeal to me either. Personally I'm just not turned on by cartoon characters, if I want to watch porn I'll watch a porno with real people. Its not really a surprise that hentai contains a lot of rape and torture. Japanese porn is known for being extreme. |

Japan is known for being the most sexually advanced modern culture (despite that they're still obsessed with panties :lol:that Insomniac was great), so there is alot of weird stuff over there in the mainstream. But I also think some of the violence in it comes from the traditional Japanese view of women. From what I understand, women have gained more rights and face much, much less discrimination in the past few decades, but the subconsious culteral view still probobly see's them as being dominated.

Basically, yes. Anyone can read the forum, but only 13+ y.o. can post in it. Therefore, threads discussing excessively adult topics can and will be censored.. but for now, I think the posts thus far most of the posts are okay, and those that are questionable are spoiling the sensitive material, so I'll let it go for now. |

But if its a good non weird series, then perhaps try Can Can Bunny Extra. It was used as footage (non-H parts) in the first DDR Project. From what I've read, it's basically Ah! My Goddess with sex. |
