I agree. I loved the original show, so I am super excited to hear that a new one is coming :]

Because hearing the announcer talk about how hardcore Hamtaro was made me laugh.

I liked watching that show for the occasional bit of self-parody candy the dub snuck in.

A NEW HAMTARO SERIES!? Are you serious!? First Ika Musume, then Natsume Yuujinchou, and now THIS!? YAAAAAAAAAY!!!

I seriously wish the rest of the Hamtaro episodes (the ones that got English dubbed in the US long ago) would get released on a DVD boxset or at least be streamed on here or some other site or something. I missed most of the episodes in 4th grade because of my mom!!!

Actually, there is a Hamtaro series still on the air on TV Tokyo. It's a 5 minute series airing with Thomas The Tank Engine called Tottoko Hamutaro: Norisuta Hai. Though, that series could be airing in repeats I suppose.

Though, in 2008 Natsume released the video game based on that series in North America:

Notice how it says "Hi! Hamtaro", and the heads of the hamsters are larger than usual compared to their body.

......oh dear.

How I love that show. A new generation of kids who are unfamiliar with it will get to remember it when they are older.
