Judging from the 3D art, it looks like Bandai Ent is going with the standard blue cases for K-On. I'm guessing any option for an LE is out of the picture as there was nothing announced in yesterday's solicitations. Anyone want to go in on a bulk order of pink cases? Let me know and we can split up the cost somehow.

First, let's calm down since we have a few months before its street date, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 (yeah, right). Maybe this colored case issue will be sorted out in the coming months.

I actually would like to see the pink cases when K-On! is released (with a reasonable price and episode count). But then again, this is Bandai Entertainment here.

Yes it is! I am not going to buy K-On! without its matching pink cases! IT'S NOT THE SAME WITHOUT IT. NOT CUTE~♥~CUTE AT ALL.

But seriously, I'd buy K-On! much sooner if they included them with the LEs. Then again, that's if they also included an artbox, a CD, more extras than just an English commentary, lossless audio for both English and Japanese, more than two episodes per disc, an MSRP lower than $45 per volume, and a promise that they'll release LEs for ALL OF THE VOLUMES.

Hm. I might as well put this title on the backburner.

If you buy the Australian version of The Notebook... Laughing ...Then you'll get a pink case with it.

...Dude, just get clear cases. Anime hyper It's not pink, but it's a lot less intrusive than the standard blue ones.

Yeah but you called it; it's not pink. Pink suits the show.

Thank you for agreeing. It's just BS that we always get the shit end of the stick. I'm all down for an import once and a while but I gotta eat sometimes ya know.

Anyway...if Bandai was going to include pink cases they would have mentioned something about it to get us all excited and entice people to pre-order. I haven't heard anything, be it on Facebook, newsletter, the Store website, and even personal emails I've sent. I highly doubt there is still an LE coming.

As long as the Blu-ray audio checks out, I will be buying this show. I'm fine without the Ura-On! shorts or Japanese commentaries, but I want some motherf*cking pink cases. If Bandai can't give us a competent product then it's up to the consumer to make it into one. I'm sick and tired of inferior products and I'm not going to pay $500 (ATM) to import some untranslated Japanese shit.

and yeah, the market for this anime stuff sucks right now but they could at least make the pinks an online exclusive like the sixth Lucky Star wrap. No B&M, no Amazon, no waste, NO EXCUSE!! Give us incentive to pre-order a SINGLE (!!) in this day and age. MAKE THE BUYFAGS HAPPY DAMMIT! You tease us with gorgeous releases that rival their Japanese counterparts but now you just give us poo.

Dude, it's the next best thing. It does the job better than blue.

You can live with it, or you can buy like six or so Australian copies of The Notebook (!), and pretty much kiss your dignity goodbye. You'll cease to be human.

I fail to understand how the colour of plastic makes Bandai's product incompetent or inferior. If you want pink cases then break out your finger paints Laughing .

I listed more than the color of the case as my reasons behind the accusation. Wait until they announce that the audio is 2.0 DD, THEN you will be in the same bitch boat as I Laughing

Well now that's a real quality issue. And indeed, it will suck hardcore if you're right on the lossy 2.0. Nevertheless, I imagine I will still buy it as I don't want to go broke buying Nazi-priced Japanese Blu rays. I would also like to pay back my fansub debt in this particular case Embarassed .

If our assumptions are indeed true (at that $25 price point I'd guarantee it lossy Japanese) then we are better off waiting for the inevitable import Blu-ray set with English subtitles. Seeing its a KyoAni show it will most definitely happen. $400 maybe?

Haruhi 2 and Nyoron Churuya-san are harbingers of doom. If they are giving us Japanese mono mixes for their newest DVD's then we will be getting lossy mixes for Blu-ray.

Integrity has already been lost with my creation of this thread Laughing

JC does this pink case issue not piss you off in the slightest? Are you no K-On fan?
