Is it weird that the Top 3 Adult Titles are all The Girl Who....

Those are all part of the same series, right? ("The Girl Who..." books, I mean.)

I'm actually wondering how skewed and inaccurate that is. In my area (my roommate's a librarian), the YA lists always have the Hunger Games books on them. Of course, those are counted as individual books, whereas the manga are apparently being counted as a whole? Let's see. As of Dec 31, 2010...
Naruto: 49 volumes Bleach: 33 volumes One Piece: 55 volumes Dragonball Z: 26 volumes I'd like to see actual numbers that count each book as an individual, rather than 26-55 books being counted as a single book. |

My local library has next to no manga from what i have seen on the shelf also what they do have is so random in number its scary. On the bright side they do have books I have never heard of before and i check the manga sections a whole bunch.

Well it's probably very skewed. I Live in NY, specifically part of the Monroe Library system. And on the website a couple years ago they changed how the organized the manga. So It'll list Naruto Once, and then where it's located with the volume numbers there. :S So they might be counting all 49 books as one book. It's really inconvenient, i have to go into the library to request hold on Manga because i can't request specific volumes online. |

This could be skewered. Besides, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z and One Piece are mainstream. it's really no surprise that they would be checked out. Besides, manga is way better than some of those YA books that are out now.

Considering that One Piece isn't really that popular in America I am pretty sure that they're counting the entire series as one entry.

You could say that about manga. |
