Such sad news.
I hope they don't close it to visitors and that the fans can move on. I really enjoyed walking through the halls of K-ON! and thought that the matching instruments really brought a whole level of realism to the place. That and the figures and artworks really showed the level of dedication and love the fans had. For someone to take that away for personal profit..... I just hope the Japanese police catch these lowlifes. I didn't see much security (or any) when I was there last but hopefully there was a witness or clues left about. For those that are not familiar with the school, I have pictures of the guitars, bass, and some of the figures that were stolen from the west building of the school here. http://punynari.wordpress.com/2010/09/26/k-on-school-anime-pilgrimage-part-2/ |

How Terrible after seeing Punyari's photos from his trip to the site. For once a site is embracing the fans of the show and inviting them and making into a positive experience rather than say how the school in Haruhi has had the burden of dealing with fans.
I hope they find the people responsible for the break in and thanks again Punyari your photos and shots from the anime were epic. |

For crying out loud really!?
Why would you do that? thats just crazy, Im kinda pissed I mean if I donated stuff to a school or wateva and they just got stolen id be pretty pissed. And as a fan of the show that school is a potential pilgrimage spot so this whole thing might ruin it for everyone that wanted to go there, hope they dont close it down to the general public. |

Man what is wrong with the people that do this stuff.
They have to ruin it for everyone. I really hope the idiots get caught and that they can get the stuff back. Those are some nice photos Punynari |

I wonder what the street value is for K-ON! goods.
Sucks for K-ON! fans though, hope they get caught. |

It's truly sad how some people sink to such low levels and do stupid stuff like this. I hope the criminals get caught and get what's coming to them.

No. It didn't. It's that kind of thinking that makes these things happen over and over again. People no longer have that filter in their brain that says, "I really shouldn't do that." Instead, they say, "Man, I can't believe they didn't think about this. I'll show them." Stupid. I'm not even a fan of the show, but I honestly can't see what anyone could stand to gain from this. He can't even sell this stuff, because if he's ever discovered, the fans will get him worse than the police will. |

Overzealous K-On otaku are bound to steal safes with money? What's the logic behind that? |

This is why we can't have good things?
Someone out there feels way too entitled to things that don't belong to him/her. I'm very upset by this person's lack of respect. It's times like this that make me doubt humanity. |

This is stupid and hurtful to K-ON fans everywhere. Thanks to puni for the pics because now I see that there was some awesome stuff in there. Thing is, did this school turn into a museum? Because why would you have all that stuff in there if it's a school?

@Sonic - here's a quote from an earlier ANN article on the subject:
So essentially yes, it was a K-ON! museum. |

Well that sucks! Anyhow, you would think they would have some sort of security for this type of stuff.
Hope somebody finds these people and locks them up for a long time! |
