Introduction
This is a fragment of history that has never been spoken of. It's the story of heroes who refused to give up.
This tale takes place in the 13th century, when the Mongolian Empire was in the midst of spreading their dominance to the east and west. This is what historians studying Nostradamus' prophecies had to say:
"Mongolia was the place that released "Angolmois", the king that would destroy the world. And so, the forces of the Mongolian Empire head for Japan.
The story starts in 1274, right in the middle of the Bun'ei era.
With a new point of view, this anime portrays the Mongol invasion of Japan, the event that changed Japan in the Middle Ages. It shows the struggles and bravery of warriors who stand up against their invaders.
Having lost everything and gaining notoriety as a wanted criminal, Kuchii Jinzaburō takes the helm. The curtain rises on the tales of the battles filled with the hardship and determination of men desperately fighting for their lives.
