A-Channel (TV) So-so Don't know why they decided to go full-CGI on this, but I don't really mind it. An attempt to re-watch the first episode failed and I don't think I can stand Tooru's character, so I don't believe this is as good as I thought it was when I first watched it.
A-Channel + smile (OAV) So-so From what I remember this is basically just more of the main series, so my thoughts are the same.
Aiura (TV) Good More enjoyable now that I've re-watched it despite not being that into CGDCT anime anymore. Main three characters are all fun, and the episodes are nice and short so they don't drag on. I'd love to watch more.
Ajin (TV) Very good Proof that an an anime can still be good even when it's done in full CGI. That isn't to say that I think the animation of this anime is good. On the contrary, I believe it's pretty bad, but not awful. The frame-rate, on the other hand, is actually awful and it's easy to notice which makes it distracting at times. All that said, though, the anime is still really good. The story is exciting and thrilling and the villains are interesting and not two-dimensional.
Ajin (TV 2) Very good It's been a while since watching this anime and writing this short review and I was wondering why I couldn't remember what happened this season. It turns out I was remembering the entire story (1st and 2nd seasons) but was thinking it as all one season. In other words, this season is literally just a continuation of the first season as if the ideas were all there and they just decided to split it into two seasons. As such, my enjoyment for this season is the same as the first.
Attack on Titan (TV 3/2018) Excellent Took me forever to finally watch this and boy I don't know why I waited. Attack on Titan always has those moments that are so hype and it's generally always very fun to watch. I'm extremely hyped for certain scenes in the next season.
Baccano! (TV) Excellent This anime does such a good job of handling a large cast of characters, each with their own personalities which make them easy to identify even the first time through. I also really enjoy the way the anime handles the story-telling; jumping around in time to explore different parts of the story, then jumping back, and eventually piecing all the individual stories together. I would love to see a second season but, as I don't see it happening, I think I'll just have to settle on reading the novels to enjoy more of this.
A Certain Magical Index (TV) Decent Having re-watched this after reading the light novels (and the manga, for what it's worth), I have to say the anime adaption was decent at best. I believe the directing was lacking for many of the scenes, and I think the anime should have had more world building, monologuing, explanation of powers, etc. / Often times, the image I had in my mind when reading the light novel was completely different from what was shown in the anime--in a bad way. Many times while someone was describing or explaining something the anime would just show the two characters standing there. What I believe the anime would have greatly benefitted from was animated illustrations of what the character was talking about. A specific example is when Sherry Cromwell was explaining to Touma that there was once a faction of the English Puritan Church who got together with Academy City to attempt to combine both sorcery and science, and the results of it. The anime simply showed Sherry's face as she told Touma about it rather than animated the scene itself. Such a scene could be done with faceless people from both sides meeting together and shaking hands, then showing Sherry teaching Ellis magic and her body rejecting it, and so on. / Additionally, the choice of music frequently felt off or poorly timed with the scenes. With an emotional scene having silly music or an intense scene (Hyouka Kazakiri showing up and dive kicking a golem in the chest) having mediocre music. / Despite the above mentioned, my biggest issue with the anime adaption is that it doesn't capture the best part of the Toaru series: the world building. The light novels have so many details that all come together to create such an interesting world, and all the characters have thier own stories and quirks, and their abilities all have so many details as well. Much of this informatio is left out of the anime, and possibly for good reason. But that's what makes the series what it is and removing it is leaving out a big part of it. I think that the anime would greatly benefit from a slower pace more packed with details and, as mentioned above, animated illustrations of those details. An example is how in the light novels it is explained that the students recieve money monthly based on how powerful their ability is in return for essentially agreeing to be a human experiment. These kinds of details are very interesting and help build the world of Toaru, but are mostly left out of the anime. / There were some good parts in the anime adaption, and some bad ones, and a lot of mediocre ones. However, at the end of the day it is still my favorite franchise so I still enjoyed the anime for what it is. I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece like I once thought when I first started watching anime, nor would I say it's good either. But it is a fine adaption of the light novels that I think is only fully enjoyable if you have knowledge of the source material (I can't see myself ever recommending the Index anime to anyone despite loving the series).
Clannad (TV) Need to re-watch.
Clannad After Story (TV) Need to re-watch.
Daily Lives of High School Boys (TV) Very good Easily one of my favorite comedies. Follows an episodic design with multiple short stories within each episode so even if there's a story that doesn't get to you, you can be assured the next one will be great. Also the comedy is grounded: it doesn't have any random out of the place stuff like Nichijou (which is also a favorite of mine). Additionally, it has great voice actors, namely Tomokazu Sugita. The characters he plays are always fantastic.
Death Billiards (movie) Need to re-watch.
Death Note (TV) Excellent (dub & sub) Nothing to say that isn't already known by everyone by this point. Many people didn't like the last third of the series but I never minded it. Death Note is, in my opinion, one of the best anime and I'd love to see more anime in it's style (I'm sure there are more out there that I just need to discover and watch).
Death Note Relight - Visions of a God (special) Very good This special and the sequel special are the perfect recap for Death Note when you haven't seen it in a while and just want a quick re-watch of the series. Perfect for yearly re-watches for those who do that sort of thing.
Death Note Relight 2 - L's Successors (special) Very good This special and the prequel special are the perfect recap for Death Note when you haven't seen it in a while and just want a quick re-watch of the series. Perfect for yearly re-watches for those who do that sort of thing.
Death Parade (TV) Need to re-watch.
Dragon Ball GT (TV) Good Need to re-watch, but I don't see myself sitting down for 64 episodes of this again. From what I remember I enjoyed Dragon Ball GT, unlike most people, though this is likely because I don't remember it much and only my nostalgia is speaking. If I were to actually re-watch this it would probably drop in rating quite a bit.
Ergo Proxy (TV) Need to re-watch.
Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly (movie) Decent Definitely need to read the VN some time. I feel like these movies are not doing the original route justice at all.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) Excellent (dub & sub) Having recently re-watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, I would still say it is one of the best anime I've seen. However, it is definitely not without flaws, notably the later-mid episodes which didn't seem to be as gripping as the rest of the series. Additionally Greed plot holes were pretty annoying. I'm also not too sure how I feel about the way it ended, but it was still very enjoyable.
(The) Garden of Words (movie) Need to re-watch.
Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow (TV) Need to re-watch.
Hinamatsuri (TV) Excellent Need to re-watch.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (TV) Very good What is there to say? It's JoJo. Though I don't like how Avdol was brought back just because the fans wanted him back. I thought it was pretty interesting how he had actually died (except he didn't).
K-ON! (TV) Need to re-watch.
K-ON! (movie) Need to re-watch.
K-ON!! (TV 2) Need to re-watch.
A Lull in the Sea (TV) Need to re-watch.
Patema Inverted (movie) Very good I know it's nothing special, but I love this movie.
Place to Place (TV) Weak Think I watched this after my moe phase had ended and this anime just wasn't cutting it. Both main characters annoyed me and the show in general wasn't enjoyable.
Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin (TV) Masterpiece It's simple mathematics. First half of the show is a masterpiece, and the second half of the show is also a masterpiece. Therefore, this show is a masterpiece.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (TV) Good Mostly enjoyed the relationship between Mai and Sakuta and, as such, I thought the first half of the anime was better than the rest. Taking the Monogatari Series route of having all these characters with their own issues and having Sakuta solve them wasn't working for me. I would have much rather had it focus on just the relationship between Mai and Sakuta, and possibly Sakuta and his sister, instead of throwing in all these other meaningless characters. Maybe it works better in the source material but in the anime I think it would be better to keep the cast of characters to a smaller number. All that said, though, I did still enjoy it.
Sound! Euphonium (TV) Need to re-watch.
Sound! Euphonium 2 (TV) Need to re-watch.
Tokyo Ravens (TV) Need to re-watch.

Will not finish Comment
(The) Quintessential Quintuplets (TV) Only tried this out because I was looking for a good comedy for the Winter 2019 season and thought this might be good. First episode was fine but afterward I found myself never watching the next episode, so I just dropped it.
(The) Rising of The Shield Hero (TV) I almost dropped this on the first episode until the second half of it where I started to enjoy MC's character a bit more. But episode 3 ruined that with that terrible village fight scene and what I heard happens after. I just lost interest in this show and after missing about 10 weeks I decided I'm not interested enough to finish it.
