Originally released by Japanese publishing giant Arclight, Kedamono Opera immerses players in a whimsical world where desperate humans seek the aid of powerful, immortal monsters known as kedamono. However, these creatures are driven by their own desires and hunger for human souls, making them far from benevolent. This story-first RPG focuses on crafting a beautiful narrative—whether tragic or comedic—rather than merely resolving conflicts or saving the world.
In a unique twist, players in Kedamono Opera assume the roles of the kedamono rather than the humans seeking their help. As these all-powerful beings, players decide whether to assist or hunt those who come to them.
Kedamono Opera was Japan's best-selling TTRPG when it debuted in 2022. It was designed by renowned TTRPG writer Ikefukuro Ryoma and features art from the beloved The Girl from the Other Side illustrator Nagabe.
