IRVINE, Calif. – July 16, 2024 – SEGA® ️ is excited to announce Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! launches today for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam! The game is also available for the Nintendo Switch family of systems.

New Free Content Update!

A free update (v1.10) is now live for all available platforms, which adds the following:

• Genya Shinazugawa and Kanao Tsuyuri as playable characters.
  
• Additional in-game Stamps, Frames, and Avatar images.
  • Stamps are used for in-game communication during the “Sweep the Board!” game mode.
    
  • Frames and Avatar images are used for Player Cards, in-game profiles that are shared with other players locally and online.

This free update also includes other online matchmaking improvements, along with fixes for minor technical issues.

Please note an internet connection is required to download and install the update. Depending on your console of choice, a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, PlayStation®Plus, or XBox Live Gold is also required to play online.

Those who order the digital edition for any of the available platforms will unlock the following:

• Base game ($59.99 MSRP)
  
• A set of four Stamps featuring Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira
  • Stamps are used for player communication in-game and are available to use in the “Sweep the Board” game mode.

• Roll the dice and aim to become the strongest Demon-Slayer swordsman! – Iconic locations from the anime, like Mt. Fujikasane and Asakusa, appear as boards in this game. Advance on the game board by rolling the dice! The game board switches between day and night. During the day, prepare for the night with events and minigames. At night, you will search for demons to defeat.
  
• Take control of iconic characters – Choose your favorite characters from the Demon Slayer Corps., including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira! Nezuko appears on the game board to aid players as a support character!
  
• Enjoy Various Minigames – Compete against each other or work together in teams of two in a variety of minigames! At certain moments, you will encounter powerful demons like Akaza, where all players must cooperate to defeat them!
