I had already lost hope of having an anime after all these years since the last volume, better late than never.

Not wanting to sound cynical, but what makes this stand out among other isekai/trapped in gaming world titles?

Nowadays I wouldn't say it stands out, I can think of many similar ones, the general plot moves forward by unveiling conspiracies and recover former subordinates without wasting time on unnecessary romances but when i started reading it, it was one of the few gender bender isekai.

It doesn't need to stand out; people simply love watching those kind of anime, myself included.

Curious how much they'll cover, and if they're covering the whole story then if they will also cover the epilogue/follow-up story that ties up some loose ends.

Still waiting on Arifureta's afterstories, if ever, so don't get your hopes up too high.

Double dipped on 'A Last Wild Boss', so I will be watching the anime.

Unless it's mega popular stuff like Naruto, have afterstories ever been animated? Arifureta's afterstories are the only part of it that are actually any good, so I do wish we'd see that someday. I'd actually watch some of them.

As far as I know Arifureta's after stories have not been published and only exist on the web. Since Arifureta ended on, spoiler[hi I am home.], you kinda need the afterstories for more details. So I hope the Japanese publisher Overlap picks them up.

Didn't know 'A Wild Last Boss' ended or had after stories. Guess the english publication has not yet caught up.

Ahem, J-Novel Club published the 9th and final volume of the light novel back in 2022.
