Anime Adaptation - Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers Announced

Torrance, Calif. – June 14, 2024 – Arc System Works America, Inc., in partnership with SANZIGEN Studios, announced today “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS”, an anime adaptation of the long-running GUILTY GEAR fighting video game series. New teaser graphics for the new anime share glimpses at what fans can expect soon.

SANZIGEN Studios, which produced game protagonist Sol Badguy's “Find Your One Way” music video for GUILTY GEAR's latest video game entry, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, will return to produce the anime series. Shigeru Morikawa (famous for “Argonavis the Movie: Axia”) will direct. Others attached to the project include GUILTY GEAR writer Norimitsu Kaihō for series composition and Seiji Mizushima (famous for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Fullmetal Alchemist) as associate producer. More details on “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS” will be shared on the official website and X social media account.

What's more, the anime series is headed to Anime Expo 2024, taking place in Los Angeles, California July 4-7. Fans will get a first look at a trailer along with behind the scenes info during Arc System Works' “GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS - Special Event” panel taking place on July 4 at Anime Expo Main Events Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Additionally, all fans attending the panel will receive a GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS poster while supplies last. Panelists will include Norimitsu Kaihō, Seiji Mizushima as well as Ken Miyauchi (GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- producer).

Since its debut in 1998, the GUILTY GEAR video game series has become a staple in its genre, with GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- having surpassed 2.5 million users worldwide. The highly acclaimed title most recently launched the new playable character Slayer for fans.
