EJ Anime Hotel Unveils New Backflip!! Movie Collaboration Room, Open July 1st

TOKYO - June 21, 2022 - EJ Anime Hotel has announced new collaboration rooms, this time featuring popular anime series Backflip!! The rooms open from July 1st, coinciding with the release of the anime's movie adaptation hitting Japanese cinemas in the same month. The hotel is located in Tokorozawa Sakura Town, which is operated by Kadokawa Corporation. Reservations opened on Wednesday, June 1st via the hotel's official website.

EJ Anime Hotel collaborates with a variety of IPs under the concept of “staying in your favorite story.” In addition to room decor and original merchandise, the hotel offers a new kind of hotel experience by using videos, sound, and lightning, along with an exclusive collaboration restaurant serving a full-course dinner, to allow you to immerse yourself in your favorite anime.
Backflip!! is an original anime television series that aired on Fuji between April - June 2021. It is part of the “Zutto О̄en Project 2011+10…” which commemorates the 10th anniversary of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The popular anime is set in Iwanuma, a coastal city in Miyagi Prefecture that was devastated by the tsunami, and follows the journey of a high-school boys' gymnastics team as they aim for the upcoming Inter-High tournament.
The Backflip!! movie will continue where the anime left off and is scheduled to be released in Japanese cinemas in July 2022. To celebrate, EJ Anime Hotel and Hotel Monterey have made this collaboration a reality.
For the EJ Anime Hotel collaboration rooms, popular characters Futaba, Misato & Mashiro will be there to ensure you have a great stay. Each character will have their own stand and dressed in hotel staff attire. Dialogue has been newly recorded for the collaboration room, bringing the stands to life and adding to the interactive experience. The room will be decorated in Backflip!! Paraphernalia and include mini-games to play via the supplied smartphone. Last but not least, hotel guests will receive hotel-exclusive Backflip!! goods to take home with them.
The rooms will be available for stay between 2022.7.1 (fri) to 2022.9.30 (fri). Reservations have already begun as of 2022.6.1 (wed).
Joining in on the celebration, Hotel Monterey will also be doing collaboration rooms in 4 locations around Japan. Starting with the series' home Sendai, Ginza (Tokyo), Osaka and Fukuoka. The rooms will obviously feature Backflip!! decal, but also hotel exclusive take-home Backflip!! Anime goods and a portion of the original voice dialogue from EJ Anime Hotel.
Immerse yourself in the world of Backflip!! surrounded by anime merchandise whilst hanging with the members of Ao High School by staying a night at one of the hotel collaboration rooms!

The rooms will have a portion of the newly recorded dialogue featured in EJ Anime Hotel, along with hotel exclusive take-home goods with newly drawn character designs including a day bag, porch, drink canister & drink tumbler (the drink tumbler is a Hotel Monterey exclusive).
