Atsushi Kaneko "First" Exhibition "Search and Destroy"
Information of Exhibition
Vanilla Gallery is proud to present the first exhibition of original drawings by a manga artist Atsushi Kaneko.
Since his debut, Kaneko has published a number of manga titles, including “BAMBi”,“SOIL”, “Wet Moon”,
and “Deathco”. He is also active as an illustrator.
His finely worked-out drawings in the picture continue to captivate enthusiastic fans, both domestic and
international, with a graphical style based on dynamic compositions in which violence and elegance coexist
and experimental but also entertaining and absurd storytelling that reveals truth.
In this exhibition, a broad range of his works, from original drawings of his debut work to new works
specifically created for the exhibition, are presented all at once.
A display configuration providing an overview of Kanekoʼs past works, including both analog and digital
productions, offers a great introduction to his unique world-view.
Some works that are part of exhibitions are available for sale, and there will also be original exhibition goods
and homage works by a doll artist. A talk event is also planned during the exhibition period.
