AnimeFest 2014 Adds Director Kazuhiro Furuhashi to Japanese Guest List
DALLAS, TX -- Kazuhiro Furuhashi, director of many popular anime including Rurouni Kenshin, Hunter X Hunter (2009), and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, will be joining AnimeFest 2014 as one of its many Japanese industry guests.
AnimeFest will be held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel this year on August 15-18, rather than its usual Labor Day weekend spot. Its four days of programming will primarily focus on educating attendees on various aspects of Japanese culture, and on the anime and manga industry and fandom. They will continue to announce several additional Japanese anime industry guests over the next several days.
About Kazuhiro Furuhashi
Kazuhiro Furuhash (born in Hamamatsu City, Japan in 1960) is an animator and director for several popular series whose portfolio begins with work he volunteered for with a project called Locke the Superman. After graduating from Tokyo Designer Gakuin College, he joined an Animation finishing complany, Kino-production, to do in-between animation, before he moved on to join Studio DEEN to work on projects such as Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, and Ranma 1/2.
Some of Mr. Furuhashi's more recognizable works include Gunslinger Girl (storyboards), Kimi ni Todoke (storyboards), Rurouni Kenshin (Director), Hunter X Hunter (Director), and Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Director).
