Sacanime Welcomes Video Game Superstars Nolan North, Charles Martinet, and Troy Baker
SACRAMENTO, CA – March 13, 2013 – SacAnime, Northern California's largest anime convention, is proud to welcome Nolan North, Charles Martinet and Troy Baker to its summer 2013 show.
The three-day event will be held on August 30 – September 1, 2013 at the Sacramento Convention Center and Sheraton Grand Hotel.
Nolan North is most know for voicing and doing the motion capture for Nathan Drake in the video games Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. His other notable video game voice work includes roles as the Prince in Prince of Persia, The Penguin in Batman: Arkham City, Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed series, Deadpool in Hulk Vs. and Marvel vs Capcom 3, Cyclops in Wolverine and the X-Men, Snow Job in G.I. Joe: Renegades, Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and both Superman and Superboy in Young Justice.
Charles Martinet has been the voice of Mario for Nintendo games, advertising, and events for over 20 years. He also does the voices of Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Baby Luigi, Baby Mario, and others for Nintendo games.
Troy Baker voiced the lead characters in two high profile soon to be released video games; Bioshock: Infinite and The Last of Us. His other work includes Frank Archer in Fullmetal Alchemist, Snow Villiers in Final Fantasy XIII, Two Face in Batman: Arkham City and many more.
ABOUT SACANIME: With a bi-annual attendance of close to 10,000 dedicated fans, SacAnime is a celebration of Japanese influenced pop-Culture Entertainment featuring celebrity guests, live music, video games, costuming, karaoke, maid cafe and much more.
SacAnime is being held at the Sacramento Convention Center and Sheraton Grand Hotel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 30th, 31st and September 1st, 2013. The event is open to the public and runs from 10am - 2am Friday and Saturday and 10am - 6pm Sunday. There is an admission charge at the door (Friday only: $25; Saturday only: $35; Sunday only: $20; All Weekend: $40; Children under 8 are free). Weekend Pre-Registration is $30 until May 1st.
Scheduled guests include Nolan North, Charles Martinet, Troy Baker, Johnny Yong Bosch and Eyeshine, J. Michael Tatum, Tsuyoshi Nonaka, Billy Martinez and Akai SKY.
