Spike Spencer to Appear As A Guest Of Honor At Animethon 17
LOS ANGELES, CA - Aug. 2 - It has been announced that Spike Spencer will be appearing as a guest at the Animethon 17 Convention in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada August 6-8.
The Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts (ASAPA) is proud to host Animethon 17, from August 6th-8th, 2010. Over 5000 Japanese animation fans are expected to take part in the festivities at Grant MacEwan University, City Centre Campus in downtown Edmonton, Alberta.
Some of the events planned include the annual anime music video contest, concerts and dances, exhibitor's hall, cosplay/costume competitions, karaoke and so much more.
And for the crowd's viewing pleasure, Animethon 17 is proud to provide a special video room, thanks to one of North America's largest Japanese entertainment companies. Viz Media will be sponsoring the special room to run Viz titles the entire weekend.
In addition, there are quite a few highly anticipated panels and special guests, many of which are also sponsored by Viz Media. These guests include renowned voice actors Spike Spencer, Michael Dobson and Kyle Hebert, just to name a few. Scheduled musical guests include THWOMP and the L33tStr33t Boys.

Animethon was founded in 1993. Every year since then, the festival pulls in some of the highest attendance rates for anime conventions in North America.
The Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts is a non-profit society based in Alberta, Canada. Established in 2004, ASAPA's main goal is to produce events in its home province that expand the knowledge and appreciation of Asian popular arts. An accomplished actor, Spike Spencer has worked onscreen with such notable stars as Tommy Lee Jones, Sandra Bullock, Frank Langella, Tia Carrere, and Scott Glenn.
