Maru Music Roster Continues to Grow, Sword Records Signs Licensing Agreement with Maru Music
Los Angeles, CA- March 4, 2010- Maru Music (Los Angeles, CA) and Sword Records (Tokyo, Japan) have signed an exclusive licensing agreement for albums and official merchandise in North America. This agreement will allow fans to have much greater access to their favorite bands' music and merchandise without having to pay import prices.
The first three bands scheduled for release include D'espairsRay, Vidoll and DuelJewel. In addition to releasing products, Maru Music is hopeful it will be able to provide an infrastructure for Sword bands to tour in North America.
• D'espairsRay. With band members HIZUMI (Vocals), Karyu (Guitar), ZERO (Bass) and TSUKASA (Drums), D'espairsRay bring a distinctive sound to the Visual Kei scene. Performing abroad is not unfamiliar territory for D'espairsRay, as they have performed on multiple occasions in Europe and North America. Most notably, D'espairsRay was part of Rockstar's Taste of Chaos Tour performing in 34 cities across North America. Currently, D'espairsray is in the works on embarking on a world tour this year.
• Vidoll features the talents of Jui (Vocals), Shun (Guitar), Giru (Guitar), Rame (Bass), and Tero (Drums). Vidoll mixes high quality vocals with thrilling guitar battles and a wide range of musical influences. The band continues to accumulate new fans around the globe with multiple performances across Japan, Europe and the US. Vidoll was recently part of the first and largest Visual Kei Festival in Japan (V-Rock Festival 2009), performing alongside many headliners including D'espairsRay and DuelJewel.
• DuelJewel have been in the J-Rock/Visual Kei scene since their formation in 1997. Hayato (Vocals), Shun (Guitar), Yuya (Guitar), Natsuki (Bass) and VAL (Drums) have been creating a wide variety of music from hard rock tunes to emotional ballads. Constantly moving forward, DuelJewel have been a part of many rock festivals in Japan including V-Rock Festival and Scuber Dive.
