Toy Industry Association Names Top Toys for 2008
Toy of the Year Nominated Products Available in Stores in Time for the Holidays
NEW YORK, December 8, 2008 – The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has released the list of the most coveted products for 2008. These “stand-out” toys are nominees for the 9th annual Toy Of The Year (TOTY) Awards, which reflect the most exciting new products from a diverse range of toy companies.
“This comprehensive list encompasses many different categories, ages, prices, of toys,” says Julie Livingston of the Toy Industry Association. “These items are sure to be a hit this holiday season, topping the wish lists of many kids and shopping lists of many parents and caregivers.”
The list of selected toys, divided by main toy categories, is below. All nominated toys were chosen by an elite committee comprised of toy industry insiders including: major toy retailers, toy inventors, toy trade journalists and academicians.
