GDH and GONZO Rosso to Forge Business and Capital Alliance with TOMY

(Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Managing Director: Hideki Moriya, hereinafter GONZO Rosso) has agreed today to form a business alliance with Tomy Company, Ltd. (Head Office: Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, President: Kantaro Tomiyama, Securities Code: TSE 1st section 7867, hereinafter TOMY) for the purpose of establishing a partnership in the online game business field, and GDH is transferring a portion of GONZO Rosso shares to TOMY.
TOMY has a wide range of renowned content popular among people of all ages, mainly in the toy business such as the Licca doll line and TOMICA die-cast vehicles, and also animation property such as the Time Bokan series. GDH's main online game subsidiary GONZO Rosso and TOMY will aim to co-produce diverse content by combining and mutually exploiting expertise and property.
The proliferation of the digital environment in the recent years has led to a robust expansion of the online game market with the number of users still increasing. Under such market climate, the GDH Group has designated the online game business as one of the key areas in its mid-term business plan, targeting to enhance its international competitiveness and create high-quality content.
In addition to servicing in Japan, GONZO Rosso and TOMY will also strive for roll out of their co-developed content in the overseas market via GONZO Rosso's strategic subsidiaries such as Goldsky Digital Technology Limited (Head Office: Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C, CEO: Huang Chi Cheng, hereinafter Goldsky) and GONZO ROSSO(M) Sdn. Bhd. (Head Office: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, CEO: Chin Shee Seong, hereinafter GONZO Rosso Malaysia), both of which license MMORPGs* to Asian and other territories.
The capital transfer will fortify the partnership between TOMY and the GDH Group, leaving GDH holding 54.56% of outstanding GONZO Rosso shares and TOMY holding 15.43%.
GDH is confident that this partnership is another positive step which will further drive dynamic growth and vitalization of its content business.
