This retelling of the original Comic Party TV series offers an insider's look at the world of fan comics that's totally hilarious (and a little bit frightening).
After failing his examinations, Sendo Kazuki spends his days aimlessly – that is, until his childhood friend, Taishi, drags Kazuki into the world of fan comics. But this harmless diversion soon becomes an obsession as Kazuki is drawn further into otaku culture. In the dog-eat-dog world of fan comics, you need more than talent to realize your dreams!
Synopsis: Kazuki, Taishi and all their crazy cohorts are back and getting into all kinds of misadventures. Not every day is a Comic Party, so the gang has to find some way to occupy their time, and that means trouble! There's a steamy trip to a hot springs, an out of control tennis tournament and a camping trip that ends in a fight to the death! Who'll be the last one standing?! Comic Party Revolution TV: Party On! (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including four laugh-out-loud episodes, presented in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include an interview with Satomi Korogi (Asahi), a segment on “The Language of Doujinshi,” and “What is Comic Party” (Part 2), profiles of the Seiyuu, production background art, plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation, and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
