Sakura-Con Announces First 2007 Guests
Seattle, WA- 8-01-2006 ANCEA (Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association) is proud to present the 10th annual Sakura-Con April 6-8th, 2007 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in beautiful Downtown Seattle. Sakura-Con is the oldest and most well attended anime convention in the Pacific Northwest. Member attendance for Sakura-Con 2007 is modestly projected to hit at least 9,000 individuals; with most members attending all three days! For 10 years Sakura-Con has been proudly all ages, all volunteer, non-profit and "for the fans, by the fans". Sakura-Con is a chance to celebrate the Japanese media fans love most-anime, manga, music and gaming-while exploring the broader world of Asian arts and culture!
Tenth anniversaries are special "once in a lifetime" events and Sakura-Con 2007 is no exception. All the great programming fans expect and more will be back, such as: industry guests, martial arts, cultural demonstrations, contests, music, cosplay (costuming), AMV's, discussion panels and film screenings. Special announcements are in the works. Be sure to keep checking www.sakuracon.org for the latest news.
For the first announcement of this special anniversary year- Sakura-Con wishes to warmly welcome Vic Mignoga for his first Sakura-Con and returning guest Doug Smith. Thank you to both guests for graciously agreeing to join the celebration!
