Weekend Passes For Glasgow Scotland Loves Anime Festival Are Now Available

Individual screening tickets for Edinburgh and London screenings should be available by the end of Thursday, individual tickets for Glasgow screenings should be available early next week

Weekend passes for the Glasgow leg of the Scotland Loves Animation festival are available at the Glasgow Film Theatre website here, priced at £81 or £63 with concessions.

This year, the festival will take place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and also in London. The screenings will include Naoko Yamada's new feature film, The Colors Within, pictured left.

The festival announced on its X/Twitter feed that individual tickets for films in the Edinburgh and London legs of the festival are likely to be available by the end of Thursday, while individual tickets for the Glasgow screenings should be available early next week.

The Glasgow leg of the festival will be from November 1 to 3, followed by the Edinburgh leg of the festival from November 4 to 10. The London screenings will be from November 15 to 17.

The venue for the Glasgow screenings will be the Glasgow Film Theatre, and the venue for the Edinburgh screenings will be the Cameo Picturehouse. The London Screenings will be at Picturehouse Central.

As well as the screenings, director Naoko Yamada and composer kensuke ushio will appear in a Q&A after the screening of The Colors Within on November 2 in Glasgow. Anime Limited adds that further festival guests will be announced later in September.

The films listed below are screening in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Most of the Glasgow screenings are also listed for screenings at London, except for Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro.

Ghost Cat Anzu, Japanese-French film directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita and Yōko Kuno, in Glasgow on November, in Edinburgh on November 10 and in London on November 17.

Look Back, adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto, directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, in Glasgow on November 3, in Edinburgh on November 8 and in London on November 16.

Kurayukaba, directed by Shigeyoshi Tsukahara + Short, in Glasgow on November 1, in Edinburgh on November 10, and in London on November 16.

Edinburgh has additional screenings listed of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture in two double-bills, Parts 1&2 (November 6) and Parts 3&4 (November 7). Edinburgh also lists additional screenings of Kurayukaba's sequel Kuramerukagari (November 10), Studio Trigger's Promare (November 4) and Makoto Shinkai's Suzume (November 8), the latter accompanied by a short film called The Scent of Love.
