posted on by Andrew Osmond

On Monday August 19, MVM will release a Collector's Blu-ray of Ninja Scroll The Series, containing art cards. This is the 13-episode television anime series, first aired in 2003, which was the sequel to the 1993 Ninja Scroll cinema film. The series was directed by Tatsuo Satō, and is described as follows:

"This is a chronicle of the life of Jubei Kibagami as he wanders the countryside as a ninja for hire. At this time, ninja clans are everywhere. One clan, known as the Hiruko Clan, doomed to live and die in darkness, protects a sacred treasure called the Dragon Stone.

"The Kimon Clan, however, bent on reviving the power of the Toyotomi, wants the Dragon Stone and the treasure it hides. Jubei Kibagami is the best the man for the job of protecting both the Dragon Stone and the only one whom can use it - The Light Maiden,"

Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray edition of the series Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion. Yen Press publishes the manhwa in English, and it described the isekai fantasy romance story:

"Eunha Park was just a regular girl desperate to get into college, but when she finally does, her elation is cut short as she's pushed off a roof—only to wake up as Raeliana McMillan, a character from a novel whose death serves as the catalyst for the story's events. But Raeliana refuses to die a second time and is determined to change her fate, no matter what."

Whale based the manhwa on Milcha's original novel. The service Piccoma serialised the manhwa in Japan.

Junichi Yamamoto (Armor Shop for Ladies & Gentlemen, More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers) directed the anime at Typhoon Graphics. Mitsutaka Hirota (Bibliophile Princess, The Prince of Tennis II, Rent-A-Girlfriend) was in charge of the series scripts. Haruna Hashimoto designed the characters, and Kio Edamatsu designed the props. Keiji Inai (Armor Shop for Ladies & Gentlemen, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, The Misfit of Demon King Academy, The Royal Tutor) composed the music, and Lantis produced the music. The artist SERRA performed the ending theme song "Always and Forever."

Anime Limited will release a standard Blu-ray of the first season of Tower of God.

Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray of the series Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon. Yen Press published all three volumes of the light novels in English, and it described the story:

"A middle-aged man with only one passion in his life meets a fitting end in a traffic accident. That's where most stories would end, but instead, this is when his story begins when he's reborn as what he admired the most in life--a vending machine! But his new lease on life(?) happens in the worst place possible--what can a vending machine do in a monster-infested dungeon when he can't speak or even move on his own?"

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman. all three seasons, ORESUKI: Are you the only one who loves me?) directed the anime at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls both seasons, Domestic Girlfriend) oversaw the series scripts, and Takahiro Sakai (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, Ms. vampire who lives in my neighborhood) adapted Yūki Hagure's original designs for animation. Yūta Uraki abd Keita Takahashi composed the music. Slowcurve Co., Ltd. produced the anime. BRADIO performed the opening theme song "Fanfare." Peel the Apple performed the ending theme song "Itsumo no Soup" (The Usual Soup).

Hirukuma began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2016, and ended it in December of that year, with epilogue stories serialized in January to February 2017. Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko began publishing the novels in print editions with illustrations by Itsuwa Katō, beginning with the first volume in July 2016. The third and final volume shipped in February 2017.
