MCM London Comic Con Event in October is Cancelled

The web page of the MCM conventions has posted the following statement. It confirms the cancellations of the MCM London Comic Con event in October, though it also announces a "special digital event" in October.

"After many discussions we have made the incredibly tough decision to cancel MCM London October 2020. It has become clear that due to the restrictions and guidelines put in place due to COVID-19 we would not be able to deliver the high quality experience you expect and deserve. We are heartbroken that we won't get to spend a weekend with you at the ExCel, meeting your heroes and making new friends, but we will return and we will continue to create a safe and accepting space for everyone.

"We can't wait to celebrate with you in August for a special digital event and promise to keep the community we all love alive.

"Thank you for sticking by us, thank you for your patience, and thank you for continuing to inspire us with your dedication and strength. Until we see you again, stay safe, stay kind, and take care of each other."
