Love Live! Group μ's Reunites for Love Live! Fes in January

The "Love Live! Series 9-Shūnen Happyōka" (9th Anniversary Presentation) event revealed on Thursday that the members of the Love Live! idol unit μ's will reunite Love Live! Fes event in January. The event will be the franchise's first festival, and it will be held at Saitama Super Arena from January 18 to 19, 2020. The franchise's idol groups Aquors, Saint Snow, and Nijigasaki Academy's Idol Appreciation Club appeared during the presentation, and they will also appear at the January event.
The anime's official website also began streaming a promotional video for the ninth anniversary and a video of the presentation, which streamed live.
The January event will mark the reunion of the μ's members after about three years and nine months. Tickets to apply for the festival's advance ticket lottery will bundle with three upcoming home video releases for the franchise.
The μ's group held their "μ's Final Love Live!" concerts at the Tokyo Dome on March 31-April 1, 2016. The group's "final single," "Moment Ring," earned the Golden Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan after selling 113,278 copies in two weeks in March 2016.
The contracts of the voice actresses in the unit expired at the end of March 2016, but group member Emi Nitta stated at the time that the "μ's Final Love Live!" concerts would only be the final concerts with just μ's as a whole and by themselves (without other musical acts). She indicated that the concerts did not mark the group's "breakup." Group member Sora Tokui added that the "μ's Final Love Live!" concerts were planned as a culmination of their work.
The μ's idol group was the eighth best-selling musical act in Japan in 2015.
