The official YouTube channel for Wright Flyer Studios and GREE's AFTERLOST - Shōmetsu Toshi game began streaming a new promotional video for the game on Sunday. The video shows gameplay footage, and reveals the game's June release date for iOS and Android (the game was originally slated to debut in April). The video also includes footage from the game's currently-airing television anime adaptation.
Wright Flyer Studios and GREE launched the original Shōmetsu Toshi game in Japan in May 2014, and the game has more than 9 million downloads worldwide. An update titled Shōmetsu Toshi 2 launched in November 2016, and the Shōmetsu Toshi 0. update launched last November. The game is also getting a new app titled Shōmetsu Toshi Drama RPG MIX.
The anime premiered on April 7. Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.
In the anime's story, one day a town is annihilated. Yuki is a young woman who is said to be the only person left alive from the town after the annihilation, and Takuya is a loner and a smuggler. Together, with the letter left by Yuki's father, they go toward the town, now called Lost, but unexpected obstacles stand in their path. The thoughts of those left behind, secret and mysterious organizations, and hidden conspiracies await Yuki and Takuya as they move closer toward the mystery behind Lost.
