Hoshiai no Sora Anime Adds Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Gen Sato to Cast

The staff of the original television anime Hoshiai no Sora (Star-Crossing Skies) revealed a new visual and two new cast members for the anime on Friday.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka joins the cast as Itsuki Ameno (left in visual above). Gen Sato plays Rintarō Futsu (right).
Other cast members include Natsuki Hanae as Maki Katsuragi (right in image at right) and Tasuku Hatanaka as Tōma Shinjō (left).
The anime will premiere in October on TBS and BS-TBS.
Kazuki Akane (Escaflowne series and film, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Noein - to your other self) is directing anime at 8-Bit and also supervising and writing the series scripts. Yūichi Takahashi is adapting the original character designs by illustrator Itsuka, and also serving as animation director. Miki Takeshita is in charge of scene setting, and Shiori Shiwa is directing the art. Jin Aketagawa is directing the sound at Magic Capsule. Flying Dog is responsible for the music, and instrumental band jizue are composing the music for the anime.
The teen adolescence story revolves around the coming-of-age of boys in a junior high school's soft tennis team, which is on the verge of shutting down. In the show's first promotional video, the character Tōma Shinjō asks Maki Katsuragi to join the team for his vaunted abilities, and mentions a summer competition. Katsuragi asks for money in return for joining the team.
