MVM Will Release Hana-Saku Iroha Blu-ray in June
posted on by Andrew Osmond
MVM has Tweeted that it will release the P.A. Works series Hana-Saku Iroha - Blossoms For Tomorrow on Blu-ray, with the first volume, carrying the first 13 episodes, due on June 13. It will be a standard Blu-ray, not a Collectors Edition, and it will use the same master as NIS America.
MVM added that it does not currently have the rights to the film sequel, Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home. "We've just got the license for the series. We'll wait to see how well it does first before looking into the movie."
The Hana-Saku Iroha project features original character designs by Mel Kishida (So-Ra-No-Wo-To) and an image song, "Patricia," sung by nano.RIPE. The story centers around Ohana Matsumae, a 16-year-old Tokyo native who ends up working with her grandmother at an onsen ryokan (hot spring inn). Matsumae has yet to decide her future.
