Nintendo of America began streaming a launch trailer on Tuesday for the Etrian Odyssey Nexus Nintendo 3DS game.
The game launched on Tuesday in North America and Europe. The game's launch edition includes an outer box, art book, and pin featuring the innkeeper Vivian.
The game introduces a new class named "Hero." In addition, many classes from all previous entries in the series are available in the game, for a total of 19 available classes. The game uses a character creator feature similar to the one in Etrian Odyssey V, with portraits from older games available to use.
The new game's setting centers on Lemuria, a lone island in distant seas where adventurers from all over the world travel to in airships, seeking its hidden treasure.
Etrian Odyssey V director Shigeo Komori directed the new game, and Yuji Himukai designed the characters. Yuzo Koshiro composed the music, and Shin Nagasawa designed the monsters.
The game shipped in Japan on August 2, and is the last game in the series developed for the 3DS platform. Atlus has teased a "next stage" for the franchise.
