DeNA's Manga Box app published the last chapter of the "first series" of Survival ~S Shōnen no Kiroku (Survival ~S Boy's Records), Akira Miyagawa's remake of Takao Saitō's 1976 Survival manga, on Wednesday.
MangaBox describes the series:
Could you survive in the wilderness that has lost all civilization? A huge earthquake occurs while Satoru and his friends are exploring a cave. After somehow making it to the surface, Satoru is shocked by the scene that lays before his eyes. From that day on, the lonely battle for survival begins!
Miyagawa launched the manga on Manga Box in May 2015. LEED Publishing Co., Ltd. published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on February 27.
Saito's (Golgo 13) original 22-volume Survival manga ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 1976 to 1978. JManga published the manga's first volume in English in 2011.
Miyagawa also launched a remake of Shōtarō Ishinomori's Baiyaku Kakebachō Kazuryū (Register of Clients of a Medicine Seller: Kazuryū) manga in Comic Ran in May 2015. He previously drew the three-volume manga adaptation of the Appleseed XIII anime project from 2011-2013. Before that he drew the two-volume 018 manga in 2010-2011.
